This new infill building functions primarily as a library and is lined with fixed shelving and reading nooks. When required heavy woollen curtains conceal the library function to create a multi-purpose learning and gathering space for the school and broader community.

The timber framed, cork floor facilitates dance and movement, while the plywood ceiling with its apex skylight provides a special space within the school, with full daylight control.

The small existing library was converted into learning support meeting rooms, office, and a quiet room with a garden outlook.

We look forward to seeing how the school community embraces their new space and thank them for a beautiful collaboration and process.
