The Renovation of a Kinder and Prep block at St Aloysius Catholic College Kingston. The existing disconnected spaces built in various stages were not conducive to contemporary pedagogy. The rearrangement of spaces allows connection between classes when required for team teaching or supervision, with clearly defined break out spaces with wet area facilities. The muted colour palette within the classrooms includes birch ply acoustic ceiling elements. Student work can be displayed on white walls and each teacher can use their creativity to enhance the class spaces. The break-out spaces feature bold colours with the floor vinyl, joinery and wall colours matched to create a seamless colour block.
