The design of this family home responds to its high conservation bushland setting, featuring caves, rocky outcrops and endemic species. A high bushfire attack level, southern views, yet northern sun all influenced the 'L' shaped plan. A rammed earth spine sits precariously on the escarpment and protects against fire and wind. A glazed northern facade allows for sun and connection to the open landscaped garden.
